Film
School Graduation of York Street's MD Stephan Anspichler in New York with his thesis film 'York Street 1929'.
2004
12 international Festival selections with
Anspichlers thesis film 'York Street 1929' - including 4 awards in the categories 'script, direction, special mention by the jury'.
2004
From New York to Hamburg. The goal: to establish a film
production company.
2005
Anspichler shoots his first German short film "Baton Boy" in
Hamburg, which is receiving the award 'Best Shortfilm Director' in New York (2006).
2005/2006
Along with his New York film
crew, Anspichler travels to Ivory Coast, where he's shooting his first feature documentary 'Egoiste - Lotti Latrous'.
2006
25th April: founding of 'York Street
Productions International' in Hamburg.
2007
Successful film
launch in Switzerland: 'Egoiste - Lotti Latrous' is the most successful national documentary co-production and shall run in theatres for more than 6 months.
2007
'Egoiste'
qualifies for the Academy Awards (R); U.S. premiere in Los Angeles, international festival selections (including Montreal World Film Festival; Zurich International Film Festival - Nomination Best
Newcomer Documentary; Skip City International DC Festival - Nomination Grand Jury Prize); distribution
in 14 U.S. states.
2008
The first
fellowship: York Street is moving into the 'House of Producers' - located in the Trebitsch Villa on the ground of Studio Hamburg.
2008
'Egoiste' starts in German
theatres with huge press coverage. The Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein is funding the theatrical release in Germany.

Stephan
Anspichler (MD of York Street Productions International) wins the 'Hamburg Start-Up Award 2008'.
2008
York Street is shooting
four busy weeks in Kolkata. The film 'Kolkata - The Economic Miracle' shall be released in the end of the year by 'Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing'.
2009
Stephan Anspichler shoots his next feature documentary 'Violinissimo' in South Korea, the United
States and Germany. Produced by Detailfilm in Co-Production with NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk).
2010
The Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein
is funding the next cinema documentary of York Street: 'Ecumenopolis: City Without Limits - A film by Imre Azem.
2011
'Ecumenopolis
- City without Limits' succeeds on international festivals: Director Imre Azem wins the Young Talent Award at 'Documentarist Film Festival' in Istanbul. The Film is officially selected for more than
a dozen Festivals, among others: 'Sheffield Doc / Fest' and 'Sarajevo
Film Festival' (Winner of the Human Rights Award and 2nd Audience Award).
2011
Stephan Anspichler is shooting for the Franco-German TV channel 'Arte' the film 'Kalmykia - The Return Of The Monks' in Russia. Executive Producer: MedienKontor.
2012
York Street closes a First-Look-Deal with 'Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing' and extends the financing possibilities for international co-productions.
